It takes a lot of hard work and money to earn a graduate degree, a Ph.D. or a master’s degree, and then find a college teaching job at a traditional college or university. Unfortunately, in today’s economic finding, college faculty positions at a physical post-secondary institution means working as an adjunct college teacher, and most adjunct instructors at traditional schools are constantly on the hustle to either find enough colleges to teach at in order to sustain themselves financially or they are one e-mail away from being completely unemployed by massive academic layoffs. There is a way, however, to protect your investment in education at the graduate level and that is with multiple online adjunct faculty jobs, with online bachelor degree programs and online master’s degree programs.
Distance education technology has made great strides in functionality and user-friendliness in the last ten years. The for-profit colleges with master degree and bachelors degree programs understood the usefulness and potential popularity of enrolling in online college degree programs, which allow college students to earn an online college degree. Students can also earn an elementary education degree online, such as an online IT degree or an online engineering degree from their personal computers at home.
This same access to online college classes and online college degree programs is how an individual with a graduate degree will protect their investment in education. As more and more physical community college, colleges, and university campuses fall prey to skyrocketing maintenance costs, the more online degree programs they will start in an attempt to gain some control of the enormous expense required to simply operate large buildings surrounded by asphalt parking lots. Granted, teaching online for four or five online college degree programs at one time will take a serious amount of concentration and an eight to nine hour day. Still, the nature of online teaching allows the teacher to scale the teaching load up or down, in terms of the numbers of of online classes being taught at any given time. For example, if an online adjunct instructor wants more money it is a simple matter to apply, and accept additional online college courses and if an online college instructors wants more free time it is just as simple to decline any offered online courses from online degree programs. In many ways teaching online is an almost perfect way to protect your graduate degree investment because of the rise in online adjunct employment.
