Forgive Yourself
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32 NIV)
God forgives every sin, past, present, and future, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Have you forgiven yourself though? Have you forgiven yourself for what you did or didn’t do, what you said or didn’t say? Forgiveness can be very hard to give to yourself or anybody.
We are often our worst critics too. We need to be kind and compassionate to ourselves. The devil wants us to feel miserable and not live under the freedom of grace, through Jesus Christ. We must focus and think about good pure things always. Focus on the present, not the past. For the past is gone, the future is unknown, and the present is a gift.
Tell God your problems, ask Him to help you forgive yourself. God will give you His love and peace which transcends all understanding. Thank you God for your peace and forgiveness for every sin, little failure, and mishap. Help me to be more like you and forgive myself and others the way you forgive me, through Jesus Christ.
“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” (2 Peter 1:2 NIV)
