Love One Another
“And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.” (1 John 3:23)
We are to love one another, like God loves us. And we are to forgive each other like God forgives us. Sometimes Christians can argue over disputable issues and it is very sad.(Rom 14:1 NIV) What one person believes on disputable issues is between that person and God. If people feel convicted in their heart, then we should respect them and their choices. And if people feel they are living under the grace and freedom of Jesus on disputable issues, then we should respect their choices. (Rom 14:4 NIV) We have to be careful about not judging others and pull the plank out of our own eye. We all feel that we are honoring God in our own ways. Only God knows a man’s heart and only God can change others. (Rom 14:5-8 NIV) May we always love each other and see each other the way God sees us. We are all children of God. We believe in Jesus Christ and are all brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ! Praise God for His love, mercy, and grace!
Please read this article, Trying to Change Others, by Ray C. Stedman. I know it is long, but it says how I feel and what I am trying to get across. God bless.
“Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.” (1 Peter 3:8)
