The Bible talks about money over 800 times! God really wants us to manage our money well. Look towards God for advice managing finances. Trust in God first.

Pray for God to give you wisdom to manage your money effectively. God wants us to work hard, save and spend wisely, avoid debt, and give from our hearts. Here are just a few verses about money from God’s Word:

Matthew 6:33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Proverbs 21:20 “In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has.”

Matt. 6:24 “You cannot serve both God and money”.

2 Thessalonians 3:10 “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you: that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”

2 Corinthians 9:7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Exodus 20:17 “No lusting after your neighbor’s house—or wife or servant or maid or ox or donkey. Don’t set your heart on anything that is your neighbor’s.

Proverbs 10:4 “Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.”

Proverbs 22:7 “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”

We must be careful about who we listen to in this world. Seek the Kingdom first and then wise advisors. Money is a gift from God. He gives us riches on earth to see how well we use our money. It is a test to see how we can handle true riches.

Luke 16:11 “So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?”
