The Devil is Real!
I read this article today on Christianpost.com and it was about how some Christians today think the devil is not real, but just a symbol for evil? And also that the holy spirit is not a living entity, but a symbol of God’s power.
The devil is very real and wants everybody to think he is not real. Be careful if you do not think the devil exists. The devil is very evil and he tempts you give into sin.
Do not feel guilty if a tempting thought enters your mind, it is from the devil. The devil wants you to feel depressed, angry, guilty, worry, cruel, jealous, self-seeking, worthless… He plays on all of our weaknesses. He tells us all lies and it is our choice to believe those thoughts or not. The Devil is the prince of liars. For example, I use to worry a lot and he wants to make me dwell on the negative, which I still do sometimes. I wrote a previous post about conquering worry.
It is what you do after the tempting bad thoughts enter you mind that matters. Do you choose to dwell on the terrible thoughts or focus on God? Immediately ask God for help to banish the terrible thoughts. The Holy Spirit is inside of you ready to fight the devil, if you believe. The Devil is the ruler over the earth, but God is in control of everything. And God uses the bad for good in God’s perfect plan.
Children of God are especially targets from the devil. He wants you to fall away from Jesus. Whenever tempting sinful thoughts enter your mind seek God’s Word to comfort you and give you peace.
