Conquer Worry by Trusting God

Worry is a hard battle to conquer. I am a worry wart, I use to be really bad in high school, but I have gotten better over the years. I have said prayers through out my life to beat worry and God has given me great peace. I have grown to trust in God more too and I strive to strengthen that trust even more.

Worry affects us all here and there in this journey. We often worry about things that might happen, things that happened in the past, and things that will never happen. We all know that worrying is a big waste of time, but it can be very difficult to stop worrying.

I was just worrying last night that what I said about the Bible may not have been good enough to one of my non-believing friends. And my mind would not stop worrying and going over what I said, could of said, and should say. I prayed to God to help me stop worrying. And I opened up my Bible to my daily reading at Exodus 16, which is about God providing manna to eat for the Israelites. He provided food for them to eat one day at a time, just like we should live life one day at a time. And on the Sabbath day He told them to rest. We must put our trust in God and He will provide for us. We should trust Him to take our worries away from us and rest in His peace.

Thank you God for providing for me in my worrying time!

Conquering worrying thoughts can be fought with God’s powerful Word!

Below are some scriptures to give you strength and peace. Read these scriptures whenever you start to worry, or memorize them and say them to banish the fear and worry from your mind.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
