Random Acts of Kindness
Where does love come from? There is a great deal of hate and love in the world. People always say how come there is so much hate in the world, but how come there is so much love in the world?
It really is amazing that there is so much love in the world. We were made to love, but sometimes it is easier to hate. We all have to fight those tendencies to become angry, bitter, and hateful.
As I mentioned in my last post, God is love. With God in our hearts we can conquer hate.
Love your neighbor. During this Valentine’s Day week lets all love more and show random acts of kindness to our neighbors and strangers. Especially since this week is Random Acts of Kindness Week. However, we do not need a special week to love. Lets all try to be somebody’s angel and do a random act of kindness everyday. Check out the Dare to Be an Angel site.
Here are some random acts of kindness ideas: (feel free to share an idea too)
1. Buy coffee for the person behind you
2. Write a letter to military overseas
3. Donate your time to charity
4. Compliment a stranger
5. Buy dinner for the table next to you
6. Give a stranger a lottery ticket
7. Donate old clothes to charity
8. Bake cookies for someone, just because…
9. Visit a nursing home
10. Put money in an expired parking meter
11. Opened the door for someone
12. Put a note in your child’s lunchbox showing your love
13. Leave your change in the soda machine for the next person
14. Baby sit
15. Write a note to someone
