Gain Peace Everyday by Reading the Bible in a Year!
How is your first day of 2009 going? I hope you are all happy and relaxing on this wonderful holiday.
I hoping to let God into my heart more in this new year. How do we do that? By praying and asking him to fill your heart with love and peace. I pray at night before I go to sleep, but I have recently started praying right when I wake up as well. Thanking God, and asking him for help to conquer obstacles, and for help to live in his will everyday.
Reading his Word a little everyday can help tremendously too. I have just started reading the Bible from the beginning, a couple weeks ago. I have been reading the New International version at Biblegateway.com with their commentary section that explains each chapter too.
There is another site called, Bible.oneplace.com that will help you read the Bible starting today! From January 1st, 2009 to December 31st, 2010 and you will have completely read the whole Bible. You do not have to start today, you can start whenever you want, but why not start today?
I really like this Bible site and I just joined and set up my free personal profile today. They help track your progress, commentary side by side the Bible, 29 Bible translations, and a lot of other cool online features. You can also highlight your favorite verses right online and save them or print them out!
I have found reading the Bible at the same time works best. And it only takes about 20 minutes a day to read a few chapters. Start your day off with love, peace, and guidance from God’s own Word!
