Do you want more comments on your blog?
Show some link love! Remove the “no follow” from the html template on your blog. The “no follow” was created to reduce spam, but it really doesn’t work. All it does is not follow the people’s blog who comment on your blog. When someone comments on your blog and leave their url either as their clickable name or under their comment, it creates a backlink. The more backlinks you can get to your blog the more traffic.
Commenting on other people’s blog is a great way to increase traffic for your blog, but if that certain blogger does not follow your link, then it is pointless.
I did not even discover this until now. So I have removed the “no follow” from this blog and from my Femme Façade beauty blog. Themelib.com has very simple instructions to remove the “no follow” attribute from your template.
First make a backup copy of your template, expand your template and then all you have to do is delete ‘rel=‘no follow’. I found it about halfway down all the html code. Make sure to delete the “no follow” in the backlinks section and the comments section, two places. Preview your template and then save.
Also to avoid spam comments, use comment moderation or enable the CAPTCHA. Show link love to your readers is more important in my book.

There is also a firefox plugin that will highlight links on other people’s blog to tell you if they have a do follow blog. Commenting on “do follow” blogs give you backlinks, and what a fast and easy way to find out. I found out about this plugin from Zacharyfox.com. Pink highlight links mean “no follow” and blue highlighted links mean “do follow.” Plus, you can turn the feature on and off under Tools in your firefox toolbar.
